Have you ever had one of those days in Mason Ohio where you just needed to get out of the house? You have binged all of your favorite shows, there is no housework, and the walls are just closing in? We all have those days and thankfully, there are several things to do to get you out of the house and enjoy the clear blue skies! Today, we are going to look at three area destinations that will leave you loving Ohio!

If you are looking for the chance to scream and have your heart on the outside of your chest, there is no better place than Kings Island to spend an entire day. While this is not going to be your cheapest destination in Mason, it is one of the best and you will get your monies worth. Kings Island offers some of the most heart-stopping roller coasters in the world! If you are not one for roller coasters, they do have their traditional amusement park rides as well and let’s not forget the food! A day in King’s Island is not complete without some of their incredible amusement park food. Save us a little bit of that funnel cake!

If you thrills and chills are not the thing you are looking for, you may want to get back to your roots. In fact, if you are a true history buff, there is no better place than Chateau Laroche to spend an afternoon. This is a gorgeous castle that was built in the early 1920’s and stands in perfect condition some 100 years later. In addition to the gorgeous architecture of the building, one will most certainly enjoy the various weapons that are on display in the castle. You will feel as though you stepped back in time and after seeing all of those weapons, will be glad to come back to this century!

Finally, there are going to be those days where you really don’t want to have to move too much. You know those really hot summer days that are just too hot to move. If you are experiencing one of those days, why not take a trip over to Soak City? While this water park does have those extreme rides, it has many areas where you can just soak your body in the cool water as the sun passes overhead.
